This sector is dominated by small-scale agro-processing concerns engaged in gari processing, production/distillation of gin, etc. etc. About 15% of the working population is engaged in this sector. However, considering the vast potential available in the timber, food preservation, cocoa processing, recycling and other sectors, it would appear that lack of access to credit could be a major contributory factor to this trend of affairs.
