He went further to explain that applying the wrong chemicals on crops has an effect on the crops and also the humans who are going to consume the food that comes out of the crops.

He again educates them on different methods of applying chemicals, notably; branding, drenching, broadcasting and spraying, he advised the public to measure the chemicals according to the correct inscription on the container before they apply.

He vividly explained when to apply chemicals depending on the weather condition, by saying it is better to follow the direction of the winds rather than facing the wind to avoid spraying on our bodies and also when the wind is browning heavily, it’s advisable not to start spraying because the wind can spread the chemicals to wrong directions to destroy other crops or plants you intend not to spray.

The information officer advised the farmers to adhere to the directives of the Agric extension officers and always visit the Agric department or directorate frequently for guidance on proper methods of farming.
