Assin Dominase Receives Fully Equipped Ultra-Modern CHPS Compound

Residents of Assin Dominase and surrounding communities have received a major boost to healthcare delivery following the commissioning of a fully equipped ultra-modern Community-based Health Planning and Services (CHPS) compound in the community.

The facility, which also includes two self-contained rooms for health workers, was commissioned under the leadership of the Assin South District Chief Executive (DCE), Hon. Jonathan Birikorang, as part of the Assembly’s “Accounting to the People” programme.

The newly completed CHPS compound is expected to improve access to quality healthcare services for residents of Assin Dominase and neighbouring communities, particularly by bringing essential healthcare closer to people at the community level.

The provision of accommodation for health workers is also expected to support the availability and continuity of healthcare personnel at the facility, especially for residents who require timely medical attention.

The commissioning forms part of efforts by the Assin South District Assembly to improve healthcare infrastructure and ensure that residents have access to essential services within their communities.

The ultra-modern facility is expected to serve as an important addition to the district’s healthcare infrastructure and contribute to improved health outcomes in Assin Dominase and surrounding areas.

The project also demonstrates the Assembly’s commitment to providing development projects that directly respond to the needs of residents and strengthening accountability through its “Accounting to the People” initiative.
