Wa East Road Rehabilitation Begins as MP, DCE Launch Major Connectivity Project
Wa East, Upper West Region – The long-awaited rehabilitation of the road linking Gohi, Kpalagih and Kpanamuna in the Wa East District has officially commenced, marking a significant step toward improving transportation infrastructure and enhancing socio-economic development in the area.

The project was officially launched by the Member of Parliament for Wa East Constituency, Hon. Dr. Godfred Seidu Jasaw, together with the District Chief Executive, Hon. Sayibu Adamu, reaffirming the government's commitment to expanding access to quality road infrastructure across rural communities.
The road reshaping exercise is expected to significantly improve connectivity among the beneficiary communities, facilitate the movement of people, goods and services, and boost economic activities, particularly in agriculture and local trade.
Speaking during the commencement of the project, the leaders emphasized that improving road infrastructure remains a critical component of the district's development agenda, as it promotes access to markets, healthcare, education and other essential services.
Residents and community leaders have welcomed the intervention, describing it as a timely response to longstanding transportation challenges that have affected economic activities and access to social services in the area.
The project forms part of the government's broader efforts to strengthen infrastructure development and improve the living conditions of residents across the Wa East District in the Upper West Region.
The commencement of the road reshaping project represents another milestone in the drive to build a more connected, accessible and prosperous Wa East District.
