Sunyani West : MCE visit BECE centres, urges candidates not to panic
The Municipal Chief Executive for Sunyani West, Mr. Evans Kusi Boadum has visited all the eight examination centres designated for the 2023 Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE).

The visit was to assess the conditions under which the students were taking their examinations, offer words of encouragement and to also bring them a goodwill message from the president of the Republic, Nana Addo Dankwah Akufo-Addo.
The MCE, who was accompanied by officials of the Municipal Assembly and the Education Directorate motivated students and counselled them to desist from all forms of examination malpractices and tackle every paper with confidence.
He told the candidates that they are being examined on what they have already been taught and learnt in schools and asked them to remain bold and approach the exams with confidence to come out with success to make themselves and their families proud.
He also advised the invigilators and teachers not to put themselves into trouble by trying to assist any candidate in one way or the other.
Mr. Issah Baffoe, the Municipal Director of Education urged the candidates to refrain from malpractices and informed them that the examination is merely a time to give an account of all that they have been taught over the years.
A total of 2,686 candidates consisting of 1,284 boys and 1,402 girls are writing the examination at eight designated centres in the Municipality with 107 invigilators and supervisors.
