The inspection team included the District Coordinating Director, Mr Samuel Gyamena, engineers from the Nkwanta North District Assembly, and consultants supervising the implementation of the project.

The visit formed part of the Assembly's routine monitoring exercise aimed at ensuring quality standards, addressing emerging challenges, and confirming that the contractor is adhering to the project timeline.

During the inspection, the engineers expressed satisfaction with the pace and quality of work, describing the contractor's performance as commendable. They indicated that construction was progressing ahead of schedule, with the groundworks expected to be completed before the planned September 2026 deadline.

According to the engineers, the progress demonstrates the contractor's commitment to delivering the project within the stipulated timeframe while maintaining the required engineering standards.

Mr Dordoe commended both the contractor and the technical team for the significant progress made and encouraged them to sustain the momentum to ensure the timely completion of the project.

He noted that the market forms part of the Government's 24-Hour Economy initiative, which aims to stimulate local economic growth, improve trading infrastructure, create employment opportunities, and enhance the livelihoods of residents.

The DCE reaffirmed the Assembly's commitment to providing the necessary supervision and support to ensure the successful execution of the project. He added that the timely completion of the market would provide traders with a modern, safe, and conducive environment to conduct business.

The inspection team also reiterated the Assembly's commitment to continuous monitoring of the project to ensure quality workmanship, value for money, and the timely delivery of the facility for the benefit of the people of Nkwanta North.
