The project, led by the District Chief Executive (DCE), Hon. Eric Ahinakwa, was undertaken in collaboration with Beast Philanthropy and the West Akyem Cooperative Cocoa Farmers and Marketing Union Limited.

As part of the initiative, Beast Philanthropy donated three motorbikes to the facility to enhance mobility and enable nurses to deliver healthcare services more effectively, particularly to residents in hard-to-reach communities.

Addressing the gathering at the commissioning ceremony, Hon. Eric Ahinakwa urged nurses posted to the facility to demonstrate professionalism, dedication, punctuality and compassion in carrying out their duties. He cautioned against using the facility for personal activities and reminded the health workers to prioritise patient care and saving lives.

The DCE also appealed to community members to take ownership of the facility by maintaining cleanliness, protecting the infrastructure and ensuring its proper upkeep. He stressed the importance of ending the poor maintenance culture that threatens public development projects.

Following the commissioning, Hon. Ahinakwa visited the ongoing construction site of the 24-Hour Economy Market at Akroso to assess progress and encourage contractors to accelerate work to ensure timely completion.

Residents of Akim-Mante expressed appreciation to the DCE, Beast Philanthropy and the West Akyem Cooperative Cocoa Farmers and Marketing Union Limited for their contributions towards improving healthcare delivery in the area.

The commissioning of the CHPS Compound, together with the donation of the motorbikes, is expected to strengthen community-based healthcare services and bring essential medical attention closer to the people of Akim-Mante and its neighbouring communities.
