The project, initiated by the Member of Parliament for Nkwanta South, Geoffrey Kini, fulfills a key campaign promise and targets roads neglected for over eight years.

The works are being carried out simultaneously on the Pusupu–Ando Road and the Laboanu Road, a strategy the MP stated is designed to ensure timely completion and maximise immediate impact for the communities. For nearly a decade, the deteriorated state of these roads has severely hampered transportation for residents, farmers, and traders, disrupting daily life and economic activity.

“This intervention brings much-needed relief and renewed hope to the affected communities,” Hon. Kini stated at the commencement site. He emphasised that the project marks another milestone in his broader commitment to improving road infrastructure across the Nkwanta South Constituency.

The MP’s action has been met with widespread approval from local residents and leaders. Community members in Ntrubo have described the project as timely, praising it as a clear demonstration of the MP’s dedication to development and public welfare.

Hon. Kini was accompanied by a delegation of local party officials and assembly members, underscoring broad-based support for the initiative. The group included Constituency Chairman Nana Prosper Akamani, Assembly Members Hon. Abasah David (Kpena Electoral Area) and Hon. Alagbah Godwin (Pusupu Electoral Area), alongside other constituency and branch executives.

Upon completion, the reshaped roads are expected to dramatically improve accessibility, alleviate chronic transportation difficulties, and stimulate socio-economic growth in the beneficiary communities. The project stands as a concrete step toward unlocking the area’s potential and improving the quality of life for its residents.
