The exercise formed part of efforts to improve road safety and enhance accessibility on the important route, which had become increasingly difficult to use due to years of unchecked vegetation growth.

The overgrown bushes had encroached on the edges of the road, reducing its width, obstructing visibility, and posing safety risks to both motorists and pedestrians. The clean-up exercise successfully restored clear sightlines, widened the roadway, and improved travel conditions for commuters.

Addressing participants, Mr. Brako commended the residents for their commitment to community development, noting that the initiative demonstrated the importance of collective action in maintaining public infrastructure.

He also expressed appreciation to traditional leaders (Nananom) and residents of Akim Kokobeng, Apamso, Edimso, and surrounding communities for their active participation and community spirit, describing their contribution as vital to the success of the exercise.

The District Chief Executive reaffirmed the Assembly's commitment to working closely with local communities to promote environmental sanitation, improve infrastructure, and ensure safer roads across the district.
