At Kayoro, the newly completed staff quarters for the health centre were officially commissioned to provide improved accommodation for health personnel and support effective healthcare delivery in the community.

A representative of the Ghana Health Service (GHS) expressed appreciation for the completion of the staff quarters, noting that the facility would contribute significantly to improving the working and living conditions of health personnel at the Kayoro Health Centre.

The GHS representative, however, appealed to the Assembly and other relevant stakeholders to consider renovating the existing staff quarters, which are currently in poor condition, to further improve accommodation for health workers.

The Paramount Chief of Kayoro also expressed profound gratitude to the government and the Kassena Nankana West District Assembly for investing in healthcare infrastructure in the community.

At Nakong, the Assembly also commissioned and handed over a newly constructed maternity block aimed at improving maternal and child healthcare services in the area.

The GHS representative commended the government and the Kassena Nankana West District Assembly for the project, noting that the facility would serve not only residents of the district but also people from neighbouring districts who seek healthcare services at the facility.

He assured residents that the District Health Directorate would work to ensure that adequate health personnel are assigned to the facility to guarantee effective and quality service delivery.

The commissioning of the projects forms part of efforts by the Kassena Nankana West District Assembly and the Ghana Health Service to expand healthcare infrastructure, improve working conditions for health personnel and enhance access to essential healthcare services for communities across the district.
