Biakoye DCE launches Senior High Schools Farm Project
The Biakoye District Chief Executive (DCE) Millicent Kabukie Carboo has launched the Biakoye District Senior High Schools Farm Project at Bowiri in the District.

The initiative is a testament to her commitment to innovative thinking, and more importantly, her dedication to instilling in the youth a passion for agriculture, food sufficiency, and income generation for the schools.
In her brief address, the DCE expressed how thrilled she is about the fruition of the initiative, adding that agriculture is the backbone of Ghana's economy, and involving the youth in this vital sector is essential for the nation's future.
She added that, through this project, they aim to equip the young farmers with the skills and knowledge they need to make a difference in the agricultural sector and announced that they will soon provide seedlings and fertilizers to further support their agricultural activities in addition to the already provided necessary tools such as cutlasses, Wellington boots, Fall Army Worm chemicals, weedicide, and funds for ploughing the four-acre land, adding that the students will also receive training in Robotic Technologies.
“This technology will revolutionize the way we farm and enhance the productivity of our agricultural endeavors”, she said.
Madam Carboo admonished he audience to envision the impact of this initiative in the community by fostering an interest in agriculture among the youth, adding that it will help pave way for a more prosperous and self-sufficient future.
“Let us nurture this project and empower our students to be the change-makers in our agricultural landscape. Thank you all for your presence and commitment to building a brighter future for Biakoye District and may this endeavor serve as an inspiration for other districts to invest in the agricultural education of our youth. Let us work hand in hand to achieve food security and economic prosperity for our beloved nation, Ghana”, she said.
