For decades, the community relied on unsafe water sources, exposing residents to waterborne diseases while women and children travelled long distances each day in search of water.

The Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for Tano North, who announced the completion of the project, said the intervention followed sustained engagements and appeals to secure support for the community's long-standing water needs.

According to the MCE, the project was made possible through the generous support of Elli's Well, which provided funding for the construction of the water facility.

The MCE noted that the project has brought significant relief to residents, who can now access safe drinking water within their community, eliminating the need for long and difficult journeys in search of water.

Expressing appreciation to Elli's Well, the MCE commended the organisation for partnering with the Assembly to improve the living conditions of the people of Anyimadukrom.

The MCE further assured residents that the Assembly remains committed to responding to the development needs of communities across the municipality and expanding access to essential social amenities.

The provision of potable water to Anyimadukrom is expected to improve public health, reduce the incidence of waterborne diseases, and enhance the quality of life for residents, particularly women and children.

The Assembly reaffirmed its commitment to ensuring that every community in the Tano North Municipality has access to basic services, describing access to safe drinking water as a critical component of sustainable community development.
