Adentan Municipal Assembly Holds First Management Meeting of 2026, Announces Key Initiatives
The Adentan Municipal Assembly (AdMA) has held its first management meeting of the year at the Assembly’s conference room, under the leadership of the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE), Hon. Ella Christine Esinam Nongo.

The meeting, which commenced at 11:30 a.m. with an opening prayer, brought together unit heads and departmental leaders to present reports, share concerns, and account for their responsibilities.
In her opening address, Hon. Nongo reaffirmed the Assembly’s commitment to improving municipal service delivery and creating a cleaner and safer environment for residents. She highlighted an upcoming municipal clean-up exercise scheduled for January 20 to 24, 2026, describing it as a critical step toward safeguarding public health and enhancing sanitation across the municipality.
Heads of departments, including Human Resource, Urban Roads, and Finance, presented updates on their operations, achievements, and challenges. The meeting also celebrated notable achievements from the previous year, particularly awards presented during the annual durbar held on December 24, 2025. Staff members who were recognized received commendation, with the MCE encouraging them to maintain their high standards of performance. She further praised the Youth Employment Agency (YEA) for its impactful training programs that continue to equip young people with practical skills.
Several operational issues were discussed during the meeting. The MCE urged staff to take responsibility for maintaining the newly renovated washrooms, emphasizing workplace hygiene and safety. The Head of Human Resources proposed initiatives including the establishment of a staff canteen to minimize time lost during lunch breaks, the extension of YEA training opportunities to Assembly staff, and improvements to inner roads within Adentan to ensure safer and more efficient movement for workers.
The Department of Health announced a community health screening exercise organized by the Member of Parliament for Adentan Constituency, Hon. Adamu Ramadan. The exercise is scheduled for January 21 and 22, 2026, and is aimed at promoting health and wellness among residents.
In her closing remarks, Hon. Nongo disclosed that the Greater Accra Regional Coordinating Council will partner with AdMA to mark Ghana’s 69th Independence Day celebration on March 6, 2026.
