THE BONOHENE'S JURISDICTION
The four main provinces in the Ivory Coast, which are directly under the authority of the Bono King are Fumasua, Ankobea, Pinanko and Akyidom (Goumere); all of which have many a sub town and village under them.
Besides Suma, Dwenem, Dormaa, and Japekrom Traditional Councils, there are several other territories of Bono and their subjects in Ghana which equally fall under the kingdom of Bonohene.
It is through the instrumentality of the reigning Bonohene's foremost ancestor that the widely acclaimed 'Adinkra' symbol came into existence.
