The storm severely affected portions of the school infrastructure, leaving the facility in a deplorable condition and raising concerns about the safety and comfort of pupils and teachers.

In response, the Tolon District Assembly, under the leadership of the DCE, undertook rehabilitation works to restore the affected portions of the school and create a safer and more conducive environment for teaching and learning.

The completion of the renovation is expected to improve academic activities at the school and address concerns arising from the storm damage.

The Tindang Hanafia Primary School was originally constructed during the tenure of the former Member of Parliament for the Tolon Constituency, Razak Umar, with funding support from the Ghana Education Trust Fund (GETFund).

Meanwhile, renovation works at Kangbagu Primary School have also been completed as part of the Assembly’s efforts to improve educational infrastructure across the district.

The two interventions form part of measures by the Tolon District Assembly to rehabilitate deteriorating school facilities and provide pupils and teachers with improved conditions for effective teaching and learning.

The Assembly says it remains committed to investing in educational infrastructure to support quality education and improve learning outcomes across communities in the Tolon District.
