The Assembly has decided to channel resources towards that area and has made some strides in that regard.

The Municipal Chief Executive, Eric Tetteh told Ghanadistricts.com in an interview that about 750 dual desks have been procured and distributed to the schools in recent times.

At the start, 200 of the furniture was purchased and given out to the school and not too long ago, 550 more was distributed through the Municipal Education Directorate.

Some of the beneficiary schools include, Aboabo Methodist, Akpamu RC Akorbana, Sutewa.

The MCE said the project has become a regular feature to the Assembly and is being done in phases until the schools in the municipality are adequately resourced with enough furniture for effective teaching and learning.

Meanwhile, the MCE has commended Mr. Kwasi Korbo who embraced the idea of adopting a school and helping to renovate and put it in good shape for use.

Mr. Kwasi Korbo's father was once a regional minister under Nkrumah’s regime, there was a school named after him in the municipality.

However, a 3-unit classroom balock started by the community in the school was abandoned so the community couldn't get the benefit is using it.

So as part of the home-coming summit, it was brought to his attention. And through to his words he came through and supported the Assembly to complete the structure which would be handed over soon.

The MCE asserts that but for his intervention, that project would have been waiting.
