According to the DCE, sanitation was a major concern in the district when he assumed office, with large refuse dumps found in several communities.

He said the Assembly has since cleared the accumulated refuse, particularly in Coaltar, Dome and other communities, while providing refuse containers to improve waste collection and disposal.

Speaking with Ghanadistricts Tv, Hon. Joshua Lartey further disclosed that the Assembly has secured a designated refuse disposal site at Anum Apapamu, where collected waste from communities within the district will be transported for proper disposal.

He said the measures were part of efforts to improve sanitation, protect public health and create a cleaner environment for residents.

The DCE appealed to residents to support the Assembly’s sanitation efforts by using the provided refuse containers and avoiding indiscriminate dumping of waste.

He assured residents that the Assembly would continue to implement measures aimed at improving sanitation and maintaining a clean and healthy environment across Ayensuano.
