The Minister was accompanied by his Personal Aide, Hon. Sulemana Mumuni, and the District Chief Executive (DCE) for Krachi Nchumuru as part of efforts to assess the project's readiness and monitor preparations ahead of the commencement of construction.

During the visit, the DCE assured the Regional Minister that all necessary groundwork and site preparation activities were progressing steadily to facilitate the timely execution of the project.

The proposed market forms part of the government's flagship 24-Hour Economy initiative, which seeks to promote round-the-clock economic activities, support small and medium-sized enterprises, create jobs, and strengthen local economies across the country.

Upon completion, the facility is expected to boost commercial activities, expand market access for traders, improve food distribution systems, and provide residents with greater access to goods and services at all times. The project is also anticipated to contribute significantly to infrastructure development and the socio-economic advancement of Krachi Nchumuru and its surrounding communities.

The initiative underscores the commitment of both national and local authorities to fostering economic growth, reducing unemployment, and improving livelihoods through strategic development interventions.

The inspection coincided with a busy market day, attracting the attention of traders and community members. Many market women and men welcomed the project, describing it as a transformative intervention that would enhance business opportunities and improve economic prospects within the district.

They expressed appreciation to the government for the initiative and voiced optimism that construction would be completed on schedule, allowing residents to fully benefit from the opportunities the market is expected to create.
