The program, spearheaded by the District Assembly and supported by Mr. Patrick Bannor, Member of Parliament for Asutifi North, is a critical initiative designed to address the poor road network, which has long hampered economic activities and access to essential services in the District.

The initiative will enhance the quality and accessibility of roads in the district and promote the transportation of goods and services, reduce travel times and improve safety for commuters and pedestrians, foster economic development by improving access to markets, schools, hospitals, and other essential services, create job opportunities for residents during the road construction and maintenance process.

The District Chief Executive Mr. Anthony Mensah underscored the economic benefits of the program, noting how better roads would attract investment, reduce vehicle maintenance costs, and improve the overall quality of life in the District.

In his keynote address, he emphasized the strategic importance of the program in enhancing mobility and economic productivity within Asutifi North.

He also highlighted how improving road infrastructure is critical to linking rural communities to urban centers, facilitating better access to healthcare, education, and markets.

Chiefs and elders from various communities blessed the initiative and expressed their gratitude for the project and also pledged their full support, emphasizing the importance of road improvement for their daily lives and economic activities.
