She emphasized that sustainable and meaningful development could only be achieved through unity, collective responsibility, and the active participation of all citizens and stakeholders.

Mrs. Ayamga made the call during a General Assembly meeting held in Bongo, where she presented an account of her stewardship and highlighted the Assembly’s achievements across various sectors.

The meeting brought together Assembly Members, heads of departments, traditional authorities, civil society organisations, development partners, and other stakeholders to review the district’s development progress and discuss future priorities.

Addressing the gathering, the DCE urged Assembly Members, traditional leaders, development partners, civil society organisations, the private sector, and community members to strengthen their collaboration in advancing socio-economic development within the district.

She noted that while the Assembly had recorded significant progress in areas such as administration, security, infrastructure, education, healthcare, agriculture, sanitation, and social intervention programmes, stronger partnerships were needed to address emerging development challenges.

“The development of the district is a shared responsibility. We need the collective efforts of all stakeholders to achieve our development goals and improve the welfare of our people,” she stated.

Mrs. Ayamga appealed to development partners and investors to increase their support and investments in the district to create employment opportunities, particularly for the youth, women, and other vulnerable groups.

She reaffirmed the Assembly’s commitment to transparency, accountability, and inclusive governance, stressing that citizens and stakeholders would continue to be actively engaged in decision-making processes.

The DCE commended the security agencies for maintaining peace and stability in the district, noting that the prevailing calm had created a conducive environment for development and economic activities.
She also outlined measures being implemented to strengthen institutional coordination and improve service delivery, adding that the Assembly remained focused on the effective implementation of government policies and programmes.

On the Assembly’s finances, Mrs. Ayamga said prudent financial management and effective mobilisation of internally generated funds remained key priorities. She assured residents that available resources were being utilized judiciously to address the district’s development needs.

The DCE further highlighted ongoing and completed projects across various sectors and reiterated the Assembly’s commitment to prioritising interventions that directly impact the wellbeing of residents.

Stakeholders who participated in the meeting commended the Assembly for its transparency, accountability, and stakeholder engagement, and pledged their continued support towards the development of the district.
