The hotel, located in the Sefwi-Wiawso Municipality, features 56 rooms, a bar, restaurant, laundry facilities and a conference room to accommodate visitors, business travellers and other guests.

Speaking at the commissioning ceremony, the Chief Executive Officer of Ritzy Hotel, Mr Pious Ohene Abakah, said the investment was driven by a vision to provide quality hospitality services in the Western North Region and beyond.

He explained that the facility was also expected to help reduce unemployment by creating jobs for young people in the area.

The General Manager, Mr Cyril Rollins Abakah, said the hotel represented the fulfilment of a long-held vision to bring hospitality services comparable to those available in major cities to Sefwi-Asawinso.

He noted that the community served as an important gateway to the Sefwi area and the Western North Region, attracting farmers, traders, public servants and other visitors who required quality accommodation and meeting facilities. Mr Abakah added that local farmers would also benefit from the investment, as the hotel intended to purchase agricultural produce from them to support its operations.

The Western North Regional Minister, Mr Wilbert Petty Brentum, who attended the ceremony, commended the hotel's management for investing in the region's hospitality industry. He expressed hope that the facility would encourage further private-sector investment.

The Western North Regional Director of the Ghana Tourism Authority (GTA), Mr Michael Kpingbi, also praised the investment, noting that the hotel had the potential to attract high-spending visitors and strengthen the region's tourism appeal.

He, however, encouraged management to prioritise staff training, cleanliness, professionalism and quality customer service to meet the standards required for its intended three-star rating. Mr Kpingbi reaffirmed the GTA's commitment to providing technical guidance to tourism operators to improve their facilities and comply with industry standards.

The Queen Mother of Asawinso, Nana Ama Kyini II, commended the hotel's Chief Executive Officer on behalf of the traditional authorities and called on other investors to explore business opportunities in the community.

The commissioning of Ritzy Hotel is expected to contribute to local economic growth through job creation, support for farmers and improved accommodation services for visitors to the Western North Region.
