For years, teaching and learning at the school were conducted under a mango tree, exposing pupils and teachers to harsh weather conditions and other challenges. The newly completed classroom block now provides a safe, comfortable and conducive environment for academic work.
Speaking at the commissioning ceremony, the speaker said the project reflected the essence of responsive governance, stressing that every Ghanaian child, regardless of location, deserved access to quality education and appropriate learning facilities.
The people of Bomaa were urged to protect and maintain the facility to ensure that it serves generations of pupils.
“Development endures only when the people defend it,” the speaker said.
The commissioning of the facility is expected to improve teaching and learning at Bomaa Islamic JHS and further contribute to the development of education in the Tano North Municipality.
