Boankra Inland Port Project Reaches 65% Completion as Officials Inspect Progress

The Boankra Inland Port Project in the Ejisu Municipality of the Ashanti Region is steadily progressing towards completion, with Phase One currently 65 percent complete.

The progress was disclosed during an inspection of the project site by the Ashanti Regional Minister, Hon. Frank Amoakohene, the Chief Executive Officer of the Ghana Shippers Authority, Prof. Ransford Gyampo, and the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for Ejisu, Hon. Jerryn Asante.

The inspection provided the officials with an opportunity to assess the progress and quality of work being undertaken on the project, which is expected to play an important role in improving trade and logistics infrastructure in the region.

The officials expressed satisfaction with the steady progress recorded at the site and the quality of work executed so far.

The Ejisu MCE, Hon. Jerryn Asante, particularly expressed satisfaction with the quality of work and urged the project managers and contractors to maintain the current standards to ensure the facility is completed on schedule.

He stressed the need to sustain the pace and quality of construction to avoid unnecessary delays and ensure that the project delivers its intended benefits to businesses, traders and the wider economy.

The continued progress on the Boankra Inland Port is expected to strengthen Ghana's logistics and transportation network while contributing to economic activity within the Ejisu Municipality and the Ashanti Region.
