The visit is also to familiarise himself with some pressing challenges confronting these departments and agencies, which needs urgent attention in order to foster their effective service delivery towards the overall development of the District and the Region.

Dr. Amoakohene used the opportunity to reaffirm the vision of his Excellency, John Dramani Mahama, and what his government expects of all stakeholders to guarantee success.

He also assured all stakeholders of his utmost commitment and support to ensure their improved conditions of service.

Major points of his address touched on issues of sanitation and waste management, job creation and youth empowerment, Agric and Agribusiness development, bridging the infrastructure gaps within the region, which would involve the completion of all stalled government projects and finally, the fight against illegal small scale mining popularly known as 'galamsey'.

Dr. Amoakohene further admonished all staff members to ensure loyalty first to the nation and assured them of the readiness of the President to work with everyone to achieve his Better Ghana Agenda.

He concluded by calling on all staff to be punctual and innovative in their line of work.
