MP Spearheads Major Infrastructure Projects in Amenfi Central

The Member of Parliament for Amenfi Central, Joana Gyan Cudjoe, has initiated a number of infrastructure projects across the constituency, with emphasis on healthcare, education, security and local economic development.

In the health sector, the MP is supporting the continuation of the CHPS Compound at Ankwaso, while new CHPS facilities are being constructed at Sraha Ayiem, Ankasie, Jedua Kese, Adidaase and Hiawa. A maternity block equipped with a theatre is also being constructed at Manso Amenfi.


The projects are expected to improve access to healthcare services, particularly for residents in communities where access to health facilities remains a challenge.


The MP has also prioritised security infrastructure, with police stations under construction at Sraha Ayiem and Achichire through the MP's funds. The facilities are expected to strengthen security and improve police presence within the constituency.


In the education sector, projects include the continuation of the Wuratrem DA Primary School and Ankasie DA Primary School, as well as the construction of a new primary school at Kramokrom. A three-unit classroom block is also being constructed at Bantoma, alongside a KG block at Agona Camp.


Other educational projects include the completion of a three-unit classroom block for the Junior High School at Sompre and the construction of additional KG and primary school facilities in selected communities.

Meanwhile, efforts are also being made to stimulate economic activity through the construction of a 24-hour economy market at Agona Amenfi and a new market at Juabo.


The markets are expected to provide improved trading spaces for businesses, create employment opportunities and contribute to economic growth within the constituency.


The various projects forms part of the MP's broader development agenda aimed at improving basic infrastructure and creating better opportunities for residents of Amenfi Central.
