Kwamang Health Centre Receives New 3-Unit Nurses’ Quarters to Boost Healthcare Delivery
The Kwamang Health Centre a in the Sekyere Central District Assembly has received a major infrastructure boost following the commissioning and official handover of a new three-unit nurses’ quarters to the Sekyere Central District Health Directorate.

The facility was commissioned, by the District Chief Executive, Hon. Samuel Somuah, with the support of the Omanhene of the Kwamang Traditional Council, Nana Debrah Bediako Boateng II.
Each of the three units is equipped with a bedroom, kitchen, toilet, bathroom and porch, providing improved and comfortable accommodation for health workers stationed at the Kwamang Health Centre.
Speaking at the ceremony, Hon. Somuah expressed satisfaction with the completion and handover of the project, which commenced in 2024. He said the new facility would contribute significantly to improving healthcare delivery by providing suitable accommodation for health officers.

The District Director of Health Services, Madam Susanna Nkrumah, commended the Assembly for its continued investment in the district’s healthcare sector. She assured stakeholders that the facility would be properly maintained to preserve its value and ensure that it continues to benefit health workers and the community.
The Omanhene, Nana Debrah Bediako Boateng II, expressed appreciation to the Assembly for the initiative and called for further improvements in critical infrastructure and essential services within the area.
He expressed optimism that the ongoing development would support the eventual upgrade of the Kwamang Health Centre to a polyclinic, which would expand healthcare services available to residents.
Nana Debrah Bediako Boateng II also disclosed that arrangements were underway for the renovation of the old staff quarters, which would provide additional accommodation for health workers at the facility.
The completion of the new nurses’ quarters represents a significant step towards improving staff accommodation, strengthening healthcare infrastructure and creating better conditions for health professionals serving communities in the Sekyere Central District.
