La Nkwantanang-Madina Assembly Demolishes Structures on Pantang Village Water Reserve

The La Nkwantanang-Madina Municipal Assembly has carried out a demolition exercise to remove unauthorized structures encroaching on the Pantang Village Water Reserve Area.

The exercise forms part of the Assembly's efforts to protect public lands, preserve critical water resources and promote orderly physical development within the municipality.

Speaking on the exercise, the Municipal Chief Executive, Alhaji I. F. Faila, appealed to residents and property developers to comply with planning regulations and refrain from encroaching on reserved lands.

He stressed that protecting water reserve areas and other designated public lands is essential to safeguarding lives, preventing environmental degradation and ensuring sustainable development.

The MCE urged the public to support the Assembly's efforts by adhering to development planning guidelines, noting that collective responsibility is key to preventing avoidable disasters and building safer communities for present and future generations.
