Akyem Oda MP inspects equipment for District Road Improvement Program

The Member of Parliament for Akyem Oda, Hon. Alexander Akwasi Acquah, has inspected equipment allocated for the District Road Improvement Programme (DRIP) in the Birim Central Municipal Assembly.

The inspection, which took place on Monday, was aimed at assessing the readiness of the equipment for the programme, which seeks to improve road infrastructure in rural and semi-urban areas.

Hon. Acquah was accompanied by constituency executives, including the NPP Constituency Chairman, Hon. Kwadwo Ampaabeng, and other officials.

The DRIP, championed by the government and spearheaded by Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, aims to enhance connectivity, access to essential services, and economic activity in rural and semi-urban areas.

Speaking after the inspection, Hon. Akwasi Acquah commended the government's commitment to road development, saying it would have a transformative impact on the lives of people in Birim Central.

"I am confident that the DRIP will promote development and create jobs in our community," he said.

The programme is expected to commence soon, with the equipment inspected by Hon. Acquah is set to play a crucial role in the improvement of road infrastructure in the area.
