The exercise involved officials from the Water Resources Commission and the Minerals Commission, who joined municipal authorities to evaluate the current condition of the water supply system and explore sustainable interventions to strengthen water delivery in the area.

As part of the initiative, the Assembly, in partnership with the Member of Parliament, Issah Salifu Taylor, is expected to roll out strategic measures aimed at restoring River Bonsa and revitalizing its ecosystem to improve water production and supply within the municipality.

Authorities noted that the intervention forms part of broader efforts to address water challenges confronting residents and ensure sustainable management of natural water resources.

The initiative is also expected to contribute to environmental protection, improve water security, and support socio-economic activities within Tarkwa Nsuaem and surrounding communities.

Stakeholders expressed optimism that the collaboration between the Assembly and the regulatory institutions would yield long-term solutions to water supply challenges and improve the quality of life of residents across the municipality.
