The facility is expected to provide a conducive working environment for staff and bring NHIS registration, renewal, education and other services closer to residents.
Speaking at the commissioning, Dr. Bampoe said the Kintampo South office, which was carved out of the Kintampo North office in 2006, had grown from seven staff to 17 staff, supported by four contract workers.
He disclosed that NHIS coverage in the district had increased from 74.33 per cent to 77.34 per cent, while indigent membership rose from 4,401 in 2024 to 18,139 in 2026.

The Kintampo South District Chief Executive, Hon. Wilfred Zuuri, pledged the Assembly’s continued cooperation with the NHIA to strengthen healthcare services in the district.
