The appeal follows nearly 18 years of the project remaining unfinished, limiting the Assembly’s ability to operate from a fully completed administrative facility.

The DCE said completing the complex would improve the Assembly’s working environment, strengthen administrative coordination and enhance the delivery of public services to residents across the district.

He urged the Common Fund Administrator to give the project special consideration to facilitate the provision of funds needed to complete the outstanding works and noted that the prolonged delay had left the district without the full benefits of the intended administrative infrastructure and called for urgent action to bring the project to completion.

The appeal forms part of efforts to address infrastructure challenges confronting the Assembly and improve the conditions under which public officials carry out their duties.

A completed Assembly complex would provide a more suitable working environment for staff and improve coordination among departments responsible for local governance and development planning. It would also help create a more accessible administrative centre for residents seeking information, public services and assistance from the Assembly.

The DCE expressed hope that the appeal would receive favourable consideration from the Common Fund Administrator to enable the long-delayed project to be completed.

The completion of the facility would mark an important step towards strengthening local administration and supporting development initiatives in the Juaboso District.
