The engagement formed part of the Assembly’s ongoing efforts to strengthen community participation, accountability, transparency, and inclusive governance at the local level.

The tour also provided an important platform for the DCE and his team to interact directly with residents and obtain first-hand information on the challenges, concerns, and pressing developmental needs confronting the various communities.

During the engagements, Hon. Joseph Appiah met with community members, traditional leaders, opinion leaders, youth representatives, and other key stakeholders. The meetings created an open and constructive environment for residents to freely express their concerns, identify priority areas for development, and make recommendations towards improving living conditions in their respective communities.

The DCE emphasized the importance of continuous dialogue between the Assembly and the people, noting that effective local development requires the active involvement and cooperation of communities.

The Assembly is committed to listening to the concerns of residents and working collaboratively with traditional authorities, community leaders, and other stakeholders to address identified challenges and promote sustainable development across the Sefwi Akontombra District.

The community engagement tour therefore marks another step towards bringing local governance closer to the people and ensuring that the voices, needs, and aspirations of residents remain central to the district’s development agenda.
