Hon. Ali Adolf John, a seasoned education professional, has cemented his reputation as a key figure in Ghana's educational and political landscape.

With extensive experience in the Ghana Education Service, he has served as a Tutor, Circuit Supervisor, and Desk Officer, showcasing his dedication to nurturing academic excellence.

Holding a Bachelor of Education and a Master’s in Technology degrees from the University of Education, Winneba, Mr. Adolf John combines his academic expertise with a passion for leadership.

The nominee previously served the District Chief Executive for Saboba in the Northern Region during the first term of President Mahama. He also served as the Northern Regional Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), where he plays a pivotal role in shaping the party's vision and strategy in the region. He held this position till his appointment as the Northern Regional Minister by H.E John Dramani Mahama in January 2025.

Mr. Ali Adolf, in the past served as the Saboba Constituency Secretary for the National Democratic Congress. In 2018, he was also elected as a Regional Vice Chair of the party but was subsequently made the acting Regional Chairman when the late chairman, Alhaji Ibrahim Mobila died in August 2022.

His dual contributions to education and politics highlight his commitment to national development and community empowerment.

He was consequently elected as the substantive regional chairman in the party’s regional elections few months later, a position, he has held till date.

As the Regional Chairman, Mr. Ali Adolf John, performed to the admiration of the rank and file of the party in the region.

His sterling performance resulted in the NDC winning majority parliamentary seats in the region and recaptured constituencies such Mion, Nanton, Zabzugu, Tatale and his native Saboba.
