The industries in the district are mainly small and micro enterprises.  These Small and Micro Enterprises (SMES) could be categorized into:

Processing: Comprising of food and oil processing

Servicing: Comprising of all artisans

Mining

The district is endowed with a number of mineral deposits which are either untapped or underutilized.  See Map.

Adamus Resource Limited  are the  only mining company which is in Full-scale operation Although a number of mining companies have applied for and secured mining leases especially for gold in the district.  In recent times, however there has been an influx of small-scale gold miners popularly called “galamsey” into the district especially around Nkroful.  Although this have created employment and boosted the local economy it has brought in its’ wake a lot of social challenges
