Ga South Assembly to ensure GAMA toilet facilities are maintained
The Ga South Municipal and Environmental Health Officer, Patience Akarseraku has said the toilet facilities being provided by the Greater Accra Metropolitan Area (GAMA) Sanitation and Water Project would be maintained.

According to the Environmental Health Officer, the Assembly would monitor to ensure the toilet facility being provided to primary and senior high schools in the Ga South Assembly are maintain and in good condition.

She further revealed that a management team is being put in place with the involvement of the Assembly to ensure the facilities are kept clean when commissioned next month.

The World Bank is providing funds to ensure toilet facilities are provide in low income communities in Accra to end open defecation.



Ministry of Sanitation and Water Resources together with GAMA are leading a crusade to end open defecation and providing toilet facilities to low income communities in the capital at an affordable rate.

The Greater Accra Metropolitan Areas (GAMA) Sanitation and Water project in collaboration with the Ministry of Sanitation and Water Resource took some Journalist round to see at first hand some toilet facilities that had been provided for Ngleshi Amanfro Senior High School (SHS) and Community One Primary.
