ASANTE A S: Assembly extends communication network to communities

Asante Akim South Municipal has made it easier for residents who usually have difficulty with telecommunication reception to have better connections and be able to link up with their love ones effectively.

Speaking with the Municipal Chief Executive, Alexander Frimpong said he and his entire team are happy to inform the people that, the Assembly has been able to secure 14 telecommunication masts; 5 from MTN and 9 from GIFEC/Ministry of Communications for installation in some selected communities in the district.

The MCE and his team were at some of the communities which benefited from the network project, including Tokwai, Gyadam, Bankame Sunkwa and Kokoben to inspect the installation.

According to him, realizing the difficulty those communities face with mobile telephony, they decided to lobby for more masts to be erected and thankfully their efforts paid off, and now those communities will have easily telecommunication services.
