BUNKPURUGU-NAKPANDURI: Site for military base construction ready

The District Chief Executive (DCE) for Bunkpurugu-Nakpanduri, Mr. Joseph Louknaan has led a military high command to do a final monitoring of site allocated for the construction of an ultra-modern military base with hospital as well as engage the owners of the land at Nanyiar community.

The DCE used the opportunity to call on the leader from the military command to speed up with documentations on the land for onward submission to the land owners.

The Commander in chief who led the team from Ghana Armed force thanked the good people of Nanyiar, especially the land owners and the chiefs for allowing their land to be used for national development adding that about 15 military bases are being constructed across the country and Bunkpurugu-Nakpanduri District is lucky to be a beneficiary of the project.

He explained that a committee will soon be formed to engage with all land owners for proper documentations to be filed.

According to the contractor of the project, the facility would be ready by next year and revealed that youth from Nanyiar and surrounding communities should be ready as they will need a number of skilled and unskilled labour personnel to assist before, during and after the construction.
