SEKYERE C: The national cake cannot satisfy all - Founder of Ashanti Development

The Founder of Ashanti Development, an NGO, Prophetess Marthar Appiah Boadu has called on Ghanaians to always think outside the box in our quest of developing the country.

She explained that most people have the perceptions that anything developmental must come from the government of the day and it is something which had heckled the development of the nation for a long time.

“We must rekindled our patriotic instincts to help contribute our quota towards the national development”, she added.

She stated this during the inaugural ceremony of a community center which was financed by the NGO at Gyetiase a community in the Sekyere Central District.

The Honorable District Chief Executive of the area, Mr Kwadwo Banahene Badiako applauded them for their immense contribution towards the development of the district.

He indicated that, the Sekyere Central District Assembly would continue to liaise with the NGO to establish long term relationship for the benefit of the district.

During the event one of the financiers, an expatriate from United Kingdom, Mr David Rees was enstooled as "3KOSOOHENE" of Gyetiase community.

Meanwhile, the occasion was used to inspect progress of work on ongoing museum block also being constructed by the NGO. Major works have been completed leaving some finishings including painting to get the facility also ready for use.

The museum the founder indicated would serve as tourist center for the district.
