C GONJA: DCE commissions to two mechanized borehole at Sankpala
Sankpala, a community in the Central Gonja District has benefited from two mechanized boreholes to curb the persistent water crisis in the district.

The District Chief Executive of the area, Mustapha Mahama indicated that water is the most essential need of the human race for survival, in view of this he took upon himself to address the water crisis in the district.

The DCE said various water projects initiated would lead to a sustainable supply of potable water to the residents in these communities, adding that he collaborated with Wells Foundation to drill these two mechanized boreholes in Sankpala which he duly commissioned.



Mr. Mahama stated emphatically that similar boreholes have been completed at Yapei Daresalam, Yirkpani, Kusawgu, Butei, Buipe SHS, Kibripe, adding that communities that are yet to benefit from one borehole project are Gbirgi, Kpabuso and two to be drilled at Mpaha, Tamakalan, Lampor, Buipe and Yipala.

He noted that the contractor is currently in the district drilling more boreholes which are at various stages and urged residents to give them the needed support and corporation to execute their work successfully.



He said even though other communities name were not mentioned, he has plans of serving them all, and asked them to remain calm as they strive to serve them better.
