Ashiaman MCE hands over 200 dual desks to Education Directorate

The Ashaiman Municipal Assembly (ASHMA) has handed over two hundred (200) desks to the Education Directorate for onward distribution to selected public schools in the municipality.

The desks form part of the government’s initiative to provide quality education in the Municipality and the Country as a whole.

In his statement, the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) of the area, Mr. Albert Boakye Okyere, emphasized on the assembly’s commitment to provide the people with quality education.

He said education is first on his list of priorities, hence the reason he is focusing on the basic amenities that will make school going children feel comfortable in the Municipality.

He described as unfortunate how school children still sit on the floor to write, adding that the dual desks for schools will go a long way to support the school children.

The Educational Directorate also pledged its readiness to take proper care of the furniture and appealed to institutions and development partners in the district to come to the aid of the directorate for speedy educational development.
