West Akim Municipal resurfaces deplorable roads

Resurfacing of deplorable roads in the West Akim Municipality is taking shape exceedingly to beautify, all unmotorable roads to accessible roads.

Through conscious effort, the assembly has solicited and gained the approval for the award of 5Kms of roads in the Municipality to be resurfaced thus (potholes patching) across the unmotorable town roads.

Notable among them include Suhum Junction - Underground; Underground-police station Court road – Station Kwahu lane - Underground among others.

The Municipal Chief Executive Mr Seth Oduro Boadu has paid a working visit to the site to have firsthand information on the quality of work being done and to encourage the contractor and his workers to expedite action on the pothole patching in order to give a facelift to the Capital of the Municipality.

In an interview, the MCE, Mr Boadu noted that the assembly will not leave out the feeder roads in the Municipality that are virtually unmotorable.

With the use of the Asembly's grader we have reshaped some of the deplorable feeder roads across the Municipality and they include Asuofori - Akwadum , Asamankese- Okotokrom , Odjadey - Atta Ne Atta, Quarshie- Anomabo ,Quarshie- Dogo Yeboah to mention a few. ‘’We are not relenting on our owls to make West Akim a better place place for our citizenry’’.
