Due to this the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE), Alhaji Mohammed Salisu Bamba observed the breaking of fast with the Muslims in the municipality.

Fasting during Ramadan which is one of the five pillars of Islam, along with the testimony of faith, prayer, charitable giving and making of pilgrimage to Mecca, the MCE said he invited all and sundry to his residence to pray for the peace and development of the municipality and Ghana as a whole.

He said that this is the first time a chief executive has taken this kind of gesture to actually bring together over 200 people to his residence to break the fast.

In attendance was the Zongo Chief, Imams, Mallams and the general public.

The chiefs and people thanked the MCE for his kind gesture and also for bringing all the Muslim leaders in the municipality together.
