*NALAG*: Afadjato S DCE elected Volta regional rep

The Volta Regional branch of the National Association of Local Governance (NALAG) has elected Mr Wisdom Semanu Seneadza, District Chief Executive (DCE) of Afadjato South, as its new regional representative.

He pulled 82 of the 109 valid votes cast to beat his contender Mr Fred Kwame, who managed only 37 votes to emerge winner.

Mr. Seneadza after his landslide victory commended the delegates for reposing their confidence in him and pledged to work to improve the working and living conditions of members at both regional level and district levels.

He pledged to enhance free flow of information from national to the district level and urged the Municipal and District Chief Executives (DCE) of the various Assemblies and Assembly members to lend him the necessary support for him to deliver.

The DCE also pledged to work hard to ensure that challenges facing Assemblies are duly addressed to help improve the work of local authorities.

He also vowed to develop strong ties by partnering the government and other development partners to bring changes to the local governance system.
