Ningo Prampram DCE donates furniture to basic schools

Ningo Prampram District Assembly has donated approximately Eight Hundred (800) dual desks, Four Hundred (400) chairs and One Hundred (100) tables to the District Education Directorate for distribution to some basic schools to facilitate effective teaching and learning.

The District Chief Executive (DCE) Mr. Jonathan T. Doku during the donation said, the Assembly donated similar items to the Senior High Schools in the District earlier this year, assuring the Education Service that the Assembly would continue to assist them anytime the need arises and tasked the directorate to prioritize schools that desperately need the furniture in the distribution process.

He added that the Assembly would soon commence the construction of teachers’ bungalow at Mangotsonya to be followed closely with the provision of teachers’ furniture and the Afienya cluster of schools would also benefit from sanitary facilities soon.

Mr.Doku said,the donation was made possible through the assembly’s Internal Generated Fund (IGF) and entreated citizens to also honour their financial obligations to the Assembly so as to adequately do such donations.

Madam Amy Matilda Quartey, the District Director of Education expressed her profound gratitude and acknowledged the immense assistance the Assembly had given them over the years and encouraged the pupils to improve creditably on their Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE).
