Inadequate logistics limit our performance – Non-formal Education

The Ashanti Regional Director for the Non-formal Education, Mr Stephen Gyamfi has disclosed that but for logistical inadequacies particularly stationary and transport, the sector would have achieved far more that it has currently.

He bemoaned the difficulties they have to go through to attend classes, explaining that though currently the department has 280 classes with 3,153 learners, the administration has no car to enhance their movement to enable them do effective monitoring and supervision.

He also cited unavailability of stationery to aid them during instructional hours.

Mr. Gyamfi appealed to the government and other corporate organisations to come to their aid.

The Director made the disclosure during an interaction with Omono Asamoah at the maiden exhibition event conducted by the Non-formal Education department in Ashanti Mampong to showcase the impact of knowledge and skills acquired by those under them.

The Municipal Chief Executive for Ashanti Mampong, Thomas Appiah Kubi eulogised the organizers for their initiative to support the worthy course of the government.

He urged the learners in the Non-formal Education department in Ashanti Mampong to develop the enthusiasm towards their ambitions since the government is ever ready to support their trade.
