Wenchi Methodist Hospital receives brand new incubator
The Wenchi Methodist Hospital has taken delivery of a brand new incubator from the Wenchi Rural Bank to support the Neo Natal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) of the facility.

At a brief ceremony to present the equipment, the Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of the bank who also doubles as the Chief Executive Officer of ROYALS FM, Mr. Adu Agyarko Pensang said the gesture formed part of the bank’s social responsibilities to the community in which it operates.
He said the bank heard about the need of the hospital to get additional incubator to augment the work at the NICU hence its decision to provide one.
The Vice Chairman stated that the incubator was highly important for the survival of new born babies with premature conditions as they had difficulty in regulating their own body temperature due to their birth condition he further explained.
He disclosed that the bank adopted the Pediatric Unit of the hospital and had in past times supported them with facilities such as children’s beds, refrigerator, television among others.
He emphasized the need for corporate organizations and individuals to also support the hospital.
Receiving the incubator on behalf of the hospital, the Methodist Bishop of Wenchi Diocese, Very Reverend Samuel Fred Ansu thanked the bank for the kind gesture and promise to utilize the equipment for its intended purpose.
He also advised the operators of the equipment to handle it with care so that it could last longer.
