N DAYI: DCE visits Brada Tornu

The District Chief Executive of North Dayi Assembly, Mr. Edmund Attah Kudjoh has visited the people of Brada Tornu in order to access the economic viability within the district in order to construct a link road to Botoku to boost economic activities.

Link roads would also save school children from the stress of moving several kilometers on daily basis to school in other areas.

Brada Tornu, is a small village within the North Dayi District after Botuku in the Volta Region. The village has a population size of 735.

Before one can get to Brada Tornu, you need to walk close to 5kilometers from Botuku since there is no road access to the place.

The people of Brada Tornu lacks a lot of Social Amenities such as Portable Drinking Water, Electricity, Health Care and many more.

However, the people of Brada Tornu has only one Basic School called Brada Tornu D/A Primary School which starts from Class One to Six. At Brada Tornu their main occupation is Fishing and Farming. They cultivate more of Maize and Cassava.

Again, the project will save lives of pregnant women and the entire community since access to community Health Care has been a major challenge for them.



In the DCE’s address to the Chief and the people of Brada Tornu, he pledged a construction of six unit classroom block with ancillary facilities to improve the standard of education at the place and also to construct an access road for them. “I have instructed the engineer and other experts to speed up preparation needed for the construction of classroom block to commence as soon as possible”.

The chief and the people of Brada Tornu were very excited about the pronouncement of the access road, school block and even pledge to support with laborers to help with the project.



Again, they thanked the DCE for coming to them in person and remembering them in the share of the national cake.

The Honorable DCE’s visit was heavily accompanied by Moses Ashmond, the Senior Quantity Surveyor at the district, Habel Adukumah as Senior Technician Engineer, Robert Attoh as the District Information Officer, NPP Party Executives within the Electoral area and Five Service Personnel from works and social welfare department respectively.
