DCE celebrates Val’s Day with Patients, hospital staff

The District Chief Executive for North Dayi, Edmund Kudjoh Attah on February 14, paid a surprise visit to the Anfoega Hospital to celebrate the St. Valentine day with the sick and prayed for them.

In his address to the administrator and some management members of the hospital, he said “the show of love and care in service to humanity is the real essence of Valentine’s Day”, and that his intention of coming to the hospital was to put smiles on the faces of the sick, little children and new mothers at the hospital.

The sick need to be loved especially in the state they find themselves where they’re being plagued by all kinds of ailments.

He added that anytime he sees sick people, he becomes emotional, especially those finding it difficult to pay for their hospital bills. “My motivation is, first of all, to replicate what St. Valentine did”.

An undisclosed amount was also given to the hospital. The purpose was to pay for all patients at the Out Patient Department (OPD) of the hospital.
