ABURA:13 schools receive new desks

The District Chief Executive of Abura Asebu Kwamankese together with the education directorate has distributed 400 dual desks to thirteen selected schools in the district.

The District Chief Executive of Abura Asebu Kwamankese together with the education directorate has distributed 400 dual desks to thirteen selected schools in the district.

The dual desks supplied by the assembly forms part of measures to improve quality education in the district and cost GHs60, 000.00.
 
The Chief Executive, William Atta Mends said the assembly attached great importance to education and as such the assembly together with the education directorate will help improve the standard of education.

In addition, he said more desks will be procured and distributed to all other schools faced with inadequate furniture to ensure every child have fare share of the national cake.

Mr. Mends appealed to school authorities to ensure regular maintenance of the desks to save the district from unnecessary expenditure in trying to provide them with new ones.
