ABURA: DCE hand over classroom block to Baiden Walker school

The District Chief Executive for the Abura-Asebu-Kwamankese District, Atta Mends has called for emphasis on girl child education in line with government policies on education.

The District Chief Executive for the Abura-Asebu-Kwamankese District, Atta Mends has called for emphasis on girl child education in line with government policies on education.

Mr. Mend expressed hope that paying attention on giving the girl child better education will help reduce teenage pregnancy and offer them better future.

He made the call at the handing over ceremony of the three unit classroom block for Baiden Walker basic school in the district.  He added that parents, players in the education sector especially the district directorate of education and all other stakeholders should make meaningful contribution to help push education in the district forward.

The DCE also reminded the students of their role to be respectful and take their studies seriously to give value to investments being made in them.

Receiving the keys on behalf of the school, the District Director of Education thanked the assembly for the structure and called on authorities to handle the facility well to avoid early deterioration.
